As part of our close-knit team, you would have the opportunity to become a specialist in this fascinating area of law, working on a uniquely varied and sometimes high-profile caseload. This is your opportunity to practice criminal defence in a truly corporate environment!

Our lawyers provide national coverage for a blend of corporate and insurer backed clients. You will be joining a team of 14 fee earners (11 solicitors) preparing and progressing cases from their early investigative stages, through the enforcement process, and ultimately, to conclusion before the Criminal Courts. Typical cases include corporate manslaughter, health and safety prosecutions and environmental crime and, due to the high number of fatalities we deal with, you will also become proficient in representation before the Coroners' Court.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • You should ideally have 0-2-years PQE with some previous experience of either Health & Safety; Environmental Crime; or Motor Crime, however, candidates without this experience who wish to pursue a career in SHE regulatory crime/re-train will also be considered - full training will be provided to all candidates.
  • You will be bright/ambitious with strong academics.
  • You will come from a strong trainee background.
  • You will be a highly determined individual able to adapt well within a demanding, fast-paced team.
  • You will be willing and available to travel to anywhere in England and Wales to support clients.
  • You will enjoy being challenged by complex legal issues and expanding your knowledge.
  • You will be a confident and effective communicator.
  • You will be focussed on delivering a highly professional service to clients, including compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements.

In return, you will benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. Within our friendly department you will have access to a range of learning and development opportunities designed to support your ongoing progression.
