The Firm's Miami office seeks a
highly motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal to support our growing
mass tort and complex litigation practice.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drafting and sending assorted documents to clients,
counsel and courts as needed, such as correspondence, deposition
notices, briefs, motions, orders, petitions, and discovery
Filing and service of all documents
Managing case deadlines across multiple cases filed
in different jurisdictions
Maintain a very busy caseload
Assisting in document review and organization;
Preparing privilege logs
Assisting with depositions and digesting deposition transcripts
Case maintenance (organization of files such as
correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc.)
Reviewing court dockets;
Assisting with witness interviews and communications
Coordinating expert retention and medical defenses
Calendar maintenance
Required Qualifications
3-5+ years litigation experience, asbestos litigation
a plus
Strong Organization, oral and written communication,
and analytical skills
Prior trial support experience is advantageous
Ability to learn quickly and function in a fast-paced environment
Experienced with e-filing and e-service in multiple jurisdictions
Creative problem solver who takes initiative to
accomplish tasks with a minimal level of supervision
Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
Experienced with a variety of computer applications
and internet programs: Microsoft Word, Outlook, LexisNexis,
Westlaw, FileSite
