The Team
Clyde & Co's Professional and
Financial Disputes team is a Tier 1 ranked market leading practice
with decades of experience in advising professional services firms,
with its roots firmly in the commercial disputes practice. The team
has been involved in many of the ground breaking cases which have
defined the scope of professional and ethical responsibilities.
We act for a wide range of
professionals, including auditors, accountants and other finance
professionals, law firms, auction houses and construction
professionals, and their insurers, both in the defence of civil claims
and in respect of major regulatory investigations and disciplinary
proceedings. We also regularly advise on the management of risk,
compliance and regulatory exposures. We have become a trusted advisor
to General Counsel and senior management in professional services
firms across the world and are
able to draw upon a wealth of industry
knowledge to provide clients with sound and skilled advice.
The Role
This role offers the successful
candidate an opportunity to be part of the Professional and Financial
Disputes team. You will have the opportunity to work for a range of
clients including professional services practices of all sizes, from
the 'Big Four' and their global networks to smaller firms who are
expanding and keen to grow their market share, individual
practitioners and their insurers. You will work on large civil claims
and major regulatory investigations as part of our Tier 1 ranked
Professional and Financial Disputes team.
Essential Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have strong commercial litigation
experience. Some experience of professional liability would be
preferable but is not essential.
Previous regulatory experience would also be an advantage but is
not essential.
The candidate should have excellent technical legal skills
including drafting and strategy management, as well as experience of
managing and prioritising a full and varied caseload.
We are ideally looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 6 PQE.
Please note that our PQE levels are a guide and all suitable
candidates will be considered.
The Solicitors Act 1974 requires
practicing solicitors to have a practicing certificate.
