The Team
Our dedicated global aircraft finance and leasing practice leads
transactions involving all types of aircraft. Our expertise covers the
full spectrum of financing and leasing structures for aircraft. Our
clients include major international airlines as well as lessors,
lenders, financial institutions and investors, and we advise on both
commercial and business aircraft finance transactions worldwide.
Our market-leading team has extensive experience acting on numerous
multi-billion-dollar new aircraft orders, thousands of aircraft and
engine operating lease and debt finance transactions, tax-structured
financings (including Japanese Operating Leases and French tax
leases), export credit guaranteed financings, insurance and
guarantee-backed financings, pre-delivery payment financings and
advising on commercial dispute, enforcement and workout situations.
The Role
We are seeking to recruit a Paralegal to join our London Aviation
Finance team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will
support the firm's global Aviation Finance team, which has lawyers
based in London, New York, Dubai and Hong Kong, and will be based in London.
The successful candidate will support the team on a wide range of
transactions with our aviation clients. This will predominantly
involve working with our airline clients on the deliveries of new
aircraft into their fleets, and working on the sale and purchase of
aircraft and engines. There is also opportunity to be involved in
regulatory work and supporting finance/leasing-based litigation. The
role will centre around:
managing the closing and post-closing stages of transactions;
preparing and drafting required documentation;
managing high volumes of work and adherence to strict deadlines; and
liaising directly with clients and other lawyers.

Essential Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must have the following:
Experience of working in a law firm;
Proactivity and experience of handling own caseload;
Excellent communication skills;
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle high volumes
of work;
The ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently by managing
time and priorities in a fast-paced environment;
Proven experience of working independently;
Strong drafting skills; and
A professional manner with the ability to build relationships
internally and externally.
The following would be highly advantageous, but not essential as full
training will be provided:
Asset finance or other corporate/commercial transactional
experience; and
A law or other degree or equivalent.
