Senior Associate - Dispute Resolution, Property Damage - Edinburgh or Glasgow

Our specialist Scottish Property Damage, Recovery and Coverage Disputes team are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Associate to join their expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and to work on complex large loss claims for an outstanding list of clients. There will be ample opportunity for career progression for a candidate with the right technical, commercial and client facing skills.

The successful candidate be based in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office, with flexible hybrid working patterns.

The Team

The team handles a varied case load involving pursuing and defending commercial and domestic public liability claims; contractual disputes; fire and escape of water claims and coverage disputes. With a varied caseload involving floods, explosions, fires, falling trees, product liability and escape of water incidents, no two days at work will be the same. The team's Insurance expertise has been recognised in Chambers with a Band 1 ranking. We act for most major insurers, as well as corporate and public sector clients. The Role

You will have responsibility for your own complex and large loss claims, including appearance work and instructing Counsel in high value Commercial Court actions and Arbitrations.

We are keen to attract a dynamic Senior Associate and while a number of years of experience in insurance litigation is preferred, candidates with a solid commercial disputes background can be considered.

We are looking for candidates who have the ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate information logically, together with proficient IT skills. You should be proactive, well-organised and with an eye for detail while delivering commercial solutions to our clients.
