The Team
Our National Professional Indemnity team is made up of a broad range
of experts across UK offices. The NPI team has a very broad range of
work with the professional, financial and management liability space,
including but not limited to solicitors; accountants; IFAs,
wealth-managers, pensions administrators and financial institutions;
major insurance broking houses; surveyors; architects; D&O; and
miscellaneous professions. The core of the NPI team's work is acting
for professionals and their insurers in the defence of civil liability
claims against them, as well as on regulatory/disciplinary matters and
coverage. The NPI London team also undertakes a wide range of work but
tends to focus on higher value and more complex disputes and advisory
work, often involving complex coverage issues and often involving
entities within the FCA-regulated space, although the range of work
remains broad.
The Role
This role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to be part
of a prestigious and dynamic, top-tier professional indemnity team,
supporting a range of clients with highly technical and complex work.
This role will include supervising and supporting more junior members
of the team, a significant role in BD, profile and the team's growth
in London, networking bother externally with clients and internally
within the firm (both nationally and globally), and will foster a
collaborative team approach.
Essential Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate would hold previous experience acting on a
range of coverage disputes and advisory matters in the financial,
professional and management lines space.
Hold strong knowledge of the FCA-regulated space and FOS procedure
with previous experience working on financial lines and coverage matters.
Display intellectual versatility and a breath of experience across
various coverage and liability matters.
Display excellent technical legal skills including drafting and
strategy management, as well as managing and prioritising a full and
varied caseload and supporting in practice management.
Have connections with clients in the insurance market and have
started building a profile and network of contacts and potential
clients. Ideally, will have successfully completed a secondment with
an insurer/broker.
We are ideally looking for a candidate with a minimum of 4 PQE.

candidates will be considered.
Be an excellent team player, positively contributing to the team
in respect of all Clyde & Co competencies (listed below).
The Solicitors Act 1974 requires practicing solicitors to have a
practicing certificate.
Successful completion of a Training Contract (or equivalent) and
relevant education (Legal Practice Course; Graduate Diploma in Law
(if non Law Graduate).
