We have an opportunity at Special Counsel level in the team led by
Tim Searle. Tim and his team advise and represent multinational
corporations, insurance and reinsurance companies, Lloyd's
underwriters, and financial institutions in relation to commercial
issues, disputes, and insurance coverage issues across a range of
lines of insurance business, including:
property;
construction;
energy;
professional indemnity;
D&O; and
public & products liability.
The practice has an international focus and works across a range of
sectors, including:
construction & engineering;
mining & resources;
energy;
financial services;
telecommunications & information technology;
manufacturing; and
hospitality & entertainment.
About you
We are looking for an established senior lawyer (6+ years' PQE)
qualified in Australia or England & Wales, with the following core competencies:
experience in managing:
complex insurance coverage of disputes;
complex infrastructure and construction claims, with a
particular focus on the energy sector (preferred);
property damage and business interruption claims; and
product liability and recall claims.
strong academic credentials, self-driven with excellent verbal and
written communications skills;
strong time management skills and ability to manage competing
priorities effectively;
demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the
ability to work independently;
commercial awareness, confidence, and an ability to develop client
relationships; and
the ability to lead, delegate and foster a positive team atmosphere.
