We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our Catastrophic Personal Injury Team to be based in our Edinburgh office.

The Role

Our Catastrophic Personal Injury team handles high value claims, covering every aspect from policy coverage to litigation.The role offers challenging, interesting, and varied work; with ongoing training, including opportunities for personal development and promotion. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team within our multi-award-winning firm.

The role is based in our Edinburgh office and requires regular communication with clients. We have a collaborative, supportive team working in a modern, flexible environment.

This is an opportunity to take a lead in a growing area where the law is developing, evolving and the work is challenging.

Will include

  • Assisting partners on Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss cases.
  • Taking statements from witnesses.
  • Investigating claims
  • Reviewing medical records and expert evidence.
  • Preparing court bundles.
  • Drafting letters of instruction, requests, Instructions to Counsel.
  • Preparing briefing notes, action plans, file notes and attendance notes.
  • Managing day to day deadlines with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Requirement for strong organisational skills and be able to use a case management system.
  • Ensure files and spreadsheets are maintained and updated.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous Paralegal experience working within personal injury is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft office.
