The Role

The Procure to Pay Invoicing Lead is responsible for providing insight into, and assisting in, the management and control of the firm's corporate overhead spend. This position will create and refine processes and procedures that best optimize interaction between business areas and finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead refinement of current purchase order driven invoicing processes
  • Oversee small team and assist with training, issues, and escalations
  • Coordinate/direct flow of invoices/inquiries among the invoicing team employees
  • Reconcile and alleviate discrepancies within the current purchase order system and manage monthly recurring expense item funding renewals
  • Review reconciliations/reports generated by team for completeness and accuracy
  • Assist in month end process by generating reports to track invoices not exported by key dates for accrual considerations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the Global Procurement and Financial Planning & Analysis teams
  • Receive, review, approve, and allocate complex vendor invoices, ensuring invoiced amount matches purchase order specifications and available funding
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and adjust discrepancies as required
  • Obtain proper information and data regarding payments including requesting appropriate tax and legal forms when necessary
  • Respond to all business services vendor/staff invoice inquiries
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Education & Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in comparable position is required
  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel is required
  • High school diploma is required
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills is required
  • College degree in finance, accounting or related field is preferred
  • Experience using Elite 3E or Chrome River is preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience in a global organization is preferred
