Associate (3-5 years PQE)- Cat Injury and Large Loss Team
(Travel Claims) - London/Manchester office
We are looking for an Associate (3-5 years PQE) to join our
Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss Team to be based in the London or
Manchester office specifically focused on complex travel claims.

marine, trade and commodities, energy, infrastructure, and insurance.

The Team and Role
The team covers every aspect of defending complex travel claims,
highly sensitive and high value claims in both UK and International
jurisdictions. The team deals with large loss and catastrophic
injuries, complex illness claims, class actions, fatal accidents,
agency claims and indemnity/recovery actions. Other cases include
travel abuse, travel fraud, baggage claims, international regulatory
and cross-border RTA sub-groups, to offer expert advice in all niche
areas of travel liability.
The aim is to give the tour operator clients, brokers and insurers a
fantastic service, getting the right outcome in every claim.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team within our
multi-award-winning firm.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in dealing
with complex travel cases.
Please note that our PQE levels are a guide and all suitable
candidates will be considered.
Essential Skills & Experience
You will be a highly determined individual able to adapt well
within a demanding, fast-paced team.
You will have experience of personal injury travel litigation.
You will enjoy being challenged by complex legal issues and
expanding your knowledge.
You will be focussed on delivering a highly professional service
to clients, including compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take responsibility for:
Working with all members of the team and you will be exposed to a
variety of work, but predominantly acting on behalf of a range of
insurance companies and self-insured commercial organisations.
Assisting and handling a varied caseload.
Carrying out investigations, taking witness statements, reviewing
and interpreting medical records and medical reports.
Reporting to and liaising with clients to achieve the best outcomes.
Complying with client SLAs and MI requirements
Proactive and strategic file management, including adhering to
court timetables
You will support the Partners in servicing existing clients,
growing new business, and maintaining relationships with clients
using technical excellence and innovation
Drafting of all legal documents and client advice.
Dealing with interlocutory proceedings, CCMCs and client meetings.
