We are currently looking for an Associate level lawyer with between
2-4 years' post qualification experience to join the Firm's renowned
projects and construction practice with a particular focus on
construction disputes, litigation and arbitration. Most of the
projects are on a large scale and have a high profile within the local
and international construction sector.
The opportunity involves working directly with Partner
Eugene Tan who is consistently listed by Legal 500 Asia Pacific
as a leading Partner in Construction and is known for his vast
experience in construction disputes and arbitration. Eugene and the
team are well established and highly regarded by clients.
As part of our continued strategic expansion in the Asia Pacific
region, and a commitment to developing a regionally focussed
construction practice, this is a new/ growth opportunity within our
construction practice based in Singapore.
This is an exciting opportunity for those seeking a dynamic and
global platform to further their career and leadership/business
development skills, whilst working as part of a collaborative and
close-knit team of industry experts.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Partners and other team members on a range of complex
and large-scale matters
Manage own caseload of both non-contentious and contentious
construction and arbitration matters
Researching and drafting of documentation, advice and correspondence
Prepare for and participate in business development-related activities.
Candidate Profile
Between 2-4 years' post-qualification experience in Singapore
acting for and advising clients
Suitable candidates will have strong academic results and be
qualified to practise in Singapore
Experience in commercial litigation, mediation, adjudication and
Arbitration within the construction sector
Will ideally have exposure to, or experience working on
cross-border disputes (not essential)
Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
Analytical and critical thinking skills commensurate with level
Proven ability to work as part of a team with limited supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and networking ability.
