opportunity for a litigation paralegal with 5+ years of experience to
join our aviation, aerospace and products liability practice. Our team
is passionate about our practice and committed to efficiently and
effectively meeting litigation and client driven deadlines. This
practice includes representing airlines; airports; municipalities;
government contractors; retailers; manufacturers of commercial,
aviation, space, military, and consumer products; and their insurers.
The open position is for a paralegal located in Los Angeles,
Orange County or San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting and sending assorted documents to clients, counsel and
courts as needed, such as correspondence, deposition notices,
briefs, motions, orders, petitions, and discovery
Case maintenance (organization of files such as correspondence,
pleadings, discovery, etc.)
Draft, update and maintain spreadsheets to track status of claims
Triage and sort e-mail inbox to open new matters
Assist with document productions
Shepardize motions and opinion communications
Liaise with clients regarding status of claims, potential claims,
and coverage letters
Finalize and send coverage letters
Monitor state and federal court dockets and forecast possible
upcoming claims
Qualifications
Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel)
Familiarity with Court websites is a plus
Web based document review databases (Nextpoint and/or Relativity)
Good command of Westlaw
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Superior organizational skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to handle highly sensitive information
Ability to gracefully work under pressure
Flexible and adapts well to changes in workload
Self-sufficient/self-starter
Trial experience is a plus
