About the role

Due to recent internal growth in the team, we are recruiting Associates at the 2-4 year post-qualification level of experience. This highly successful dynamic team is led by Clyde & Co Partner Luke O'Kane, and will expose you to first rate matters and clients.

Across the country, Clyde's insurance partners spread their expertise across a range of insurance lines and industries. We are consistently called upon to help key international and local insurers and corporates with their most complex insurance claims and issues.

About you

We are seeking lawyers with experience working in private practice. Particular experience in respect to litigation, public/product liability and/or general insurance/coverage claims is essential. To apply you will need to demonstrate that you have a record of strong, consistent performance throughout your career within these areas of the law.

You will be an Associate with between 2-4 years' of relevant experience. The following are the core requirements:

  • a solid general insurance background gained from a top tier private practice environment from either Australia or overseas;
  • precise, clear drafting skills;
  • strong academics, self-driven, a 'can do' approach, with excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to meet deliverables to a very high standard;
  • demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently;
  • commercial awareness and confidence in building rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business' needs and with the assistance of the partners, actively developing client relationships;
  • for more senior lawyers, the ability to lead, delegate and for all candidates, to foster a positive team environment.
