Coordinate and supervise provision of a professional pre-litigation
commercial debt recovery service for corporate law firm clients across
KSA and Middle East through Clyde & Co office in Riyadh as part of
regional debt recovery team (9+).
Support the growth of the debt recovery practice in KSA by growing
our market share domestically and source debt recovery work from
domestic and international clients.
Support regional debt recovery team in carrying out debt collection
procedures in KSA, including face to face visits and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Handle pre-litigation debt recovery cases for Clyde & Co clients.
Contact client debtors by telephone, letter, email or fax, to
agree debt recovery plans and follow up as appropriate;
Reviewing documentation (all aspects of contract) to assess
liability, identify contract issues and judge recoverability;
Using knowledge and initiative to reach amicable solutions to
settling debts on behalf of clients, taking into account
circumstances of the case;
Establish repayment schedules, monitoring repayment of debts, and
adherence by debtors to instalment schedules;
Researching debtor companies, assisting in researching laws and
procedures to provide written advice to clients;
Management of client relationship for key clients;
Ongoing/regular communication/reports to clients;
Attend debtor premises on occasion to attend meetings or to access
key decision makers;
Providing any other assistance in KSA required by Dubai debt
recovery team
Maintain statistics on recoveries; and
Contribute ideas around Business Development Strategy to Partner.
Candidate requirements
We are interested in candidates with:
a degree level education;
experience of credit control gained within the
banking/professional services industry; law firm experience desirable;
excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage
conflicting priorities;
a proactive approach and an ability to deal with clients and
debtors appropriately;
strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with people at
all levels; and
a strong commercial acumen.
