Program Overview

Our program is designed to provide you with a realistic view of what it's like to be an attorney in our Boston office. Throughout the course of the summer, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful work assignments, participate in training and development programs, and observe the law in practice . As a summer associate, you will work with our attorneys on a variety of substantive projects that involve tasks like legal research, analysis and drafting for ongoing client matters .

Clyde & Co's summer program will equip you with the skills and legal knowledge needed to become a successful attorney. Our legal skills curriculum includes topics like legal research and writing; negotiations; and other practice specific skills. Our practice group seminars will enable you to learn about our areas of practice and hopefully discover your own unique interests along the way. We strive to offer you as much hands-on experience as possible. Summer associates are invited to attend depositions, court appearances, and other professional events.

We recognize the critical role mentorship plays in fostering your professional and personal development. From day one, you will be assigned a contact attorney who will provide guidance and support to help you thrive at Clyde & Co. As a summer associate, you will receive continuous and individualized feedback from our attorneys regarding your work assignments. We also want to hear from you - we encourage you to share feedback with us so we can make your summer at Clyde & Co an exceptional one.

Qualifications

  • You are pursuing a J.D. with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • Proven academic and professional record.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Inclusive mindset and willingness to embrace diverse perspectives.

We require our summer associates to commit to spending a minimum of nine weeks with the firm.
