Clyde & Co has an opportunity in Johannesburg for a Coverage
Disputes attorney with 2 years PQE + of experience. We are looking for
a bright, ambitious, highly motivated lawyer, with experience in
insurance dispute resolution. Experience dealing with financial lines,
professional negligence and coverage disputes will be advantageous.
The successful incumbent will report to Deon Francis whose practice
comprises a range of contentious and non-contentious insurance related
matters. He has extensive experience as an international insurance
lawyer. Deon's contentious practice focuses on all aspects of
financial lines and professional indemnity related matters (including
coverage advice).
Key Responsibilities
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills;
Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature;
Ability to handle time sensitive matters;
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects;
Excellent organisational and time management skills;
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
Qualifications
Admitted to practice in South Africa
2 years + of insurance disputes experience
Excellent academic credentials
Proficient to advanced user of Microsoft Word and Outlook
Proficient to advanced user of PDF programs such as Adobe,
Nuance/Kofax, etc.
Applicant must be detailed oriented and highly motivated with the
ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Impressive command of grammar and punctuation
Must have experience with FileSite, iManage, or equivalent
document management system.
