The Role

The Recruitment Team, North America, is responsible for hiring attorneys, law students, and staff for the US and Canada offices. The Recruitment Coordinator will provide support to the Recruitment Manager, Recruitment Advisors and Early Careers Advisor across North America handling administrative duties and ensuring all recruitment procedures run smoothly for the department.

Key Responsibilities

Attorney and Legal/Business Services Recruitment

  • Develop and maintain market profiles and job board list for the firm's North America office locations, inclusive of Affinity Bar Associations and professional associations.
  • Prepare and post job advertisements online including company website and external job boards.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external job boards.
  • Prepare bespoke LinkedIn job postings for sharing on LinkedIn personal accounts.
  • Prepare current open positions emails bi-weekly.
  • Maintain and update recruitment page on Clyde Connected (intranet).
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS), including data entry of recruitment activity, costs, and candidates' details.
  • Schedule call back interviews and update calendars for interviewers and candidates accordingly.
  • Resolve issues such as interview cancellations or reschedules swiftly.
  • Prepare candidate offer packages and assist with candidate offer follow-up.
  • Assist with referred candidate tracking.

Early Careers

  • Assist with the administration and coordination of Early Careers programs on an as needed basis.

Department Administration

  • Process and follow-up on department AP including AmEx reconciliation; payment of agency fees and other expenses.
  • Maintain department data metrics and tracking.
  • Assist with department data reporting, preparation of charts and Management Board reports, inclusive of expenditure and diversity data.
  • Maintenance of the department's iManage workspace folders.
  • Assist with development and updates of recruitment materials and brochures.
  • Assist with survey development and delivery.
  • Assist with recruiting events.
  • Support website enhancement for recruiting purposes, including collaboration with web editors to update internal and external recruiting websites.
  • Participate and contribute to the weekly Recruitment/HR meetings.
  • Assist with and support new department initiatives and projects within the wider HR team, when needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • One year of recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services firm or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with standard hiring practices and stages (screening, interview, assessment, onboarding).
  • Experience using recruiting software and social networks for recruiting, especially LinkedIn.
  • Prior experience with database management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a service oriented attitude.
