The Doha team's construction practice is growing and we are looking to hire a mid-level lawyer to assist the partner primarily with contentious construction matters.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
To manage own case load of contentious construction matters
To provide claims advice, research, draft and prepare documents in order to efficiently progress proceedings
To work as part of a regional disputes team and support partners and senior associates where necessary
To take part and lead business development and marketing activities.
We are interested in candidates with:
A strong academic background, including a minimum of a 2:1 at a reputable university
3-5 year's construction experience gained at a reputable law firm with a strong reputation in the field of construction
Experience or exposure in international arbitration
A proven track record in assuming responsibility and taking a pro-active and commercial approach to issues
Arabic language skills (not essential)
A genuine commitment to living and working in Qatar
Drive, enthusiasm and flexibility – those who are team players and can also work autonomously
Entrepreneurial natures with a broad commercial awareness.

We have a formidable on the ground presence in Qatar with a dedicated projects & construction team of 5 lawyers based in the Doha office alone with a further 17 lawyers in the region.
