Description

Clyde & Co, an International Law Firm with offices across the globe is seeking candidates for a Solutions Tester I role. The Solutions Tester I is a member of the Solution Testing team which falls under the purview of the Global Applications Solutions organization within IT. The ideal candidate will have automated and manual testing experience.The incumbent will use the Eggplant automation platform to develop and maintain test automation solutions.The focus of this role will be to work as a key contributor on the Automated Testing Solutions evergreen program within the Solution Testing team. The mission of the program is to ensure system and applications stability through developing and maintaining a continuous testing framework. The Automated Testing Solutions program achieves a continuous flow of automation solutions that are continuously improved upon through peer learning. The Agile scrum methodology is practiced by the team to support a self-sustaining culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

  • Ownership for, definition of, training of and enforcement of the global testing strategy
  • Thorough creation of test scripts and documentation of results

Projects & Planning

  • Coordinate and undertake the testing of applications, ensuring a thorough and consistent approach
  • Develop an understanding of the key functionality within applications, documentation and test tools
  • Conduct pre and post-release / post implementation and regression testing
  • Assist and work with colleagues to develop test plans, organize testing, collate results and feed back to technical teams
  • Provide guidance on the appropriate level of testing to IT management and project managers
  • Progress projects and tasks on time and to budget

Communication

  • Concise and clear reporting of issues with suppliers, IT and business staff
  • Provide regular reports and updates to colleagues on the status of assigned tasks making sure they are consulted where appropriate and issues escalated for attention

Experience and Skills Required

  • 1-4 years of relevant experience; would consider recent Computer Science, Information Technology Degree graduates
  • Participation as the member of a testing team that is responsible for test analysis, planning, scenario identification, case authoring/execution, and defect management across an array of enterprise solutions. Preferred experience with legal application solutions.
  • Experience working with industry standard test management software such as Azure DevOps Test Plans.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile SDLCs. Preferred experience working on projects following the Scrum methodology.
  • Experience applying Functional and Static Test methodologies.
  • Experience using automated testing frameworks e.g. Eggplant would be advantageous.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree and/or 3-8+ years of related experience
