Clyde & Co is seeking a Litigation
Associate with 1-3 years of experience to work with their practice
focused on the defense of complex asbestos, environmental and other
product liability matters.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but
are not limited to:
Taking depositions, attending hearings, and mediations as required;
Drafting pleadings and briefs;
Preparing correspondence to colleagues and clients;
Conducting legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis;
Drafting interrogatories and document demands;
Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation;
Submitting filings to the court.
Education and Experience
J.D./LLM;
Admission to practice in Missouri is required; Admission to
practice in New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois, and/or
Maryland is a plus;
Litigation experience is required; Commercial litigation
experience is ideal.
Asbestos/toxic tort experience is a plus;
Court room experience including motions is a plus;
Trial experience is a plus.
Skills and Ability
Exceptional legal writing and communication skills;
Strong interpersonal skills:
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
