Clyde & Co seeks an Associate with 4+ years' experience to join our insurance coverage litigation group and to be located in either Irvine CA, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or even remotely. This practice represents insurers in complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters, including the defense of consumer class actions against insurers, coverage disputes pertaining to general liability and professional liability policies, and bad faith coverage litigation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experience attorney who is able to work within a busy and fast-paced team environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage recommendations for clients;
  • Draft pleadings and briefs, and correspondence to clients;
  • Conduct legal researches using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis;
  • Draft interrogatories and document demands;
  • Review document collections in preparation for litigation;
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required;
  • Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

  • Admitted to Practice Law;
  • Excellent academic credentials;
  • Strong insurance coverage experience required, particularly with general liability policies;
  • Commercial Litigation experience required
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
