Responsibilities
Clyde & Co 's New York Office is
looking to hire a corporate attorney with approximately 4-8 years of
experience in insurance transactional and regulatory matters, as
discussed further below. The attorney could be based in New York,
Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, California or any other
locations in the US where Clyde & Co has an office.
We are seeking a deputy for our
corporate insurance group—someone who is highly motivated and
proactive. The candidate should have experience in insurance
transactional and commercial matters, including mergers and
acquisitions, large reinsurance transactions, and arrangements such as
MGA/producer agreements. In addition, the attorney will ideally have
prior experience with insurance regulatory matters both in connection
with the above-mentioned transactions as well as stand-alone insurance
regulatory advisory matters.
Requirements
Practicing attorney with 4+ years qualification;
Previous experience in insurance transactional and regulatory matters;
Admitted to practice in the state where the attorney will be based;
Superior interpersonal skills and ability to collaboratively work
with others;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Highly focused, enthusiastic and creative thinker;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities;
Ability to negotiate with commercially and legally sophisticated
advisors and clients;
Competency in legal drafting/research.
