Clyde & Co seeks an Associate with 2
to 6 years' experience in insurance coverage litigation to join our
thriving insurance coverage litigation group in Chicago. This practice
represents domestic and international insurers in complex, high value,
high profile coverage litigation and bad faith cases, providing
primary, excess and reinsurance coverage to municipalities, school
districts, churches and other public and private entities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an
experience attorney who is able to work within a busy and fast-paced
team environment.
Responsibilities and requirements
Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide
coverage advice and recommendations for clients;
Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and
draft memoranda;
Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with
supporting briefs and other legal correspondence;
Attending depositions, hearings and mediations as required.
Education and Experience required
Admitted to practice in Illinois;
Excellent academic credentials;
2 to 6 years of complex insurance coverage litigation experience,
bankruptcy experience is real plus;
Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills;
Federal court experience;
Exceptional attention to detail;
Strong organizational and time management skills.
