Clyde & Co seeks a highly motivated
attorney with 4-8 years of experience in insurance coverage
litigation. The position involves representation of international and
domestic insurers with regards to all manner of liability policies,
including fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional,
property, excess and commercial general liability policies. The
opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy,
stimulating and fast-paced team environment, and has a strong interest
in working on complex insurance coverage litigation matters.
The attorney will be ideally located in
Los Angeles, CA or in Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities and requirements
Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and
providing coverage advice and recommendations to clients;
Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and
draft memoranda;
Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with
supporting briefs and other legal correspondence;
Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties;
Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
Education and Experience
Excellent academic credentials;
Admitted to practice in California;
4-8 years of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation matters;
Litigation experience;
Federal court experience.
Skills and Abilities Required
Excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature;
Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously;
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
