We are looking to recruit an Associate (3

The Team
We have an established and well-respected group of lawyers in our
Property Damage and Recovery Team who advise some of the UK's largest
insurers and their underwriters on all classes of property damage
claims and corporate fraud recoveries. This includes multi-million
pound claims for fire, infrastructure damage, flood damage, building
defect claims, Party Wall Act disputes as well as subsidence. This
involves claims under a full suite of property policies to include
commercial combined covers, property owners risks and Construction All
Risks cover. Our policy coverage claims involve advice on
non-disclosure and fair presentation of risk and breach of conditions.
In our fraud work we frequently act for corporate crime insurers and
companies which have been defrauded in our pursuit of the recovery of
assets or data stolen, including recovery by injunctive relief.
The Role
The role offers the opportunity for a broad range of work as the team
works for insurers, brokers and corporate clients on the full range of
property damage work including defending liability claims, pursuing
high value recoveries, and advising on coverage and customer complaints.
Essential Skills & Experience
We are interested in hearing from solicitors with a strong academic
background and candidates with at least 2+ years experience within
this practice area. Applicants should have sound technical ability,
with experience of multi-track property damage liability claims,
subrogated recoveries and policy coverage disputes. Experience in
handling complex disputes arising out of fires, escapes of water and
oil, subsidence and construction & engineering related incidents
is also a requirement.
We are keen to hear from excellent communicators, litigators and
confident negotiators. Together with excellent commercial acumen, we
look for experience at resolving disputes through various forms of ADR.
