Clyde & Co's Atlanta office seeks a highly motivated experienced attorney with 6+ years of experience in third-party insurance coverage advice and litigation. The position involves representation of international and domestic insurers with regards to a wide range of insurance products, including professional liability, director and officers', cyber-risk, media, and commercial general liability policies. The opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment, and has a strong interest in working on complex insurance coverage matters.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Responsibilities and requirements

• Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations to clients;
• Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda;
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence;
• Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties;
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.

Education and Experience

• Excellent academic credentials;
• Admitted to practice in Georgia;
• 6+ years of experience in complex third-party insurance coverage litigation matters;
• Strong experience in professional liability. Experience in D&O and/or cyber-risk and media policies is a real plus;
• Litigation experience.

Skills and Abilities Required

• Excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature;
• Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously;
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
