companies, insurance companies, healthcare suppliers and distributors
as well as healthcare companies, private equity firms specialising in
healthcare investments, health ministries and authorities.

The Team
Our Manchester claims team is growing fast and requires an
experienced Associate to handle a varied caseload of clinical
negligence claims for a range of clients who include, insurance
companies, medical and dental defence organisations, and professional organisations.
The successful candidateneeds to be able to manage run a large and
varied caseload subject to supervision. Cases will include medical,
dental and optical cases in the main arising in a variety of settings
from the NHS across the private sector and also in prisons.
The Role
Applying strong technical skills to a range of specific complex problems;
Liaising with clients, experts and witnesses;
Preparing court documents;
Understanding and dealing with client expectations, objectives,
negotiating position and key concerns.
Essential skills & experience
Candidates will ideally have a minimum of 4 years PQE, (please
note that our PQE levels are a guide and all suitable candidates
will be considered);
Display excellent legal skills and initiative, as well as managing
and prioritising a full and varied caseload;
The ideal candidate will have significant relevant experience in
defended clinical negligence claims, and experience working within
the healthcare sector
The Solicitors Act 1974 requires practicing solicitors
to have a practicing certificate;
