The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team to handle a broad range of insurance liability cases with a focus on defendant employers' liability, public liability and product liability claims.

We are looking for a paralegal/legal executive to join our team. The role will include handling pre-litigated claims from first notification of loss to the conclusion of the claim, providing a bespoke cradle to grave claims handling service for insurers and policy holders involving all manner of personal injury claims.

The team has particular expertise in complex, cross-border or multi-party claims, including those originating from complex injury claims, product liability, aviation and manufacturing sectors.

The successful candidate will have a varied caseload of Defendant Employers Liability and Public and Product Liability claims and will work in a team dedicated to dealing with a number of the UK's largest insurer clients.

The role would also involve assisting lead lawyers and partners in all aspect of their cases. At the same time, we would focus on your development and training generally so as to ensure you are progressing against objectives and your career goals. Part of this development will enable the successful candidate to handle their own litigated files and we have seen many of our junior paralegal's progress in their careers to become associates within our team.

The team currently enjoys hybrid working.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working in Personal Injury teams is essential
  • Understanding of Defendant Employers and Public Liability litigation work and the MOJ Portal. Previous experience working on matters on the defendant side is desirable although not essential
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Legal qualifications and/or experience is mandatory;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently by managing time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills / knowledge
  • A professional manner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
