As CLE Specialist, you will be responsible for the administration of
the firm's continuing legal education (CLE) programming and compliance
for the North America region as well as client CLE programs and serve
as the primary point of contact for firm attorneys and the Business
Development Team regarding CLE compliance and accreditation.
Responsibilities within this role are not limited to CLE and will
include activities related to CPD for the firm's Canadian offices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
With the support of the regional Learning & Development
Manager, assess internal CLE programming needs and implement
appropriate programs.
Provide direction for the regional Learning & Development
Coordinator to coordinate and execute all aspects of internal CLE
program logistics.
Support the Business Development Team with client CLE program accreditation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the ABA MCLE
Accreditation team and prepare CLE applications for internal and
client programs.
Keep abreast of CLE regulatory requirements, rules, and procedures.
Maintain accredited provider status in New York and California,
including maintaining records for year-end reporting.
Manage Micron CE Manager, the firm's MCLE tracking system,
including data entry, profile maintenance, quality control and reporting.
Manage and champion usage of Practising Law Institute (PLI)
membership and offering.
Create internal guidelines for how we manage CLE activity and
respond to attorney and staff CLE related questions.
Process invoices related to CLE programming and accreditation and
track expenditure.
Oversee regional CLE mailbox maintenance.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in CLE support in a law
firm setting.
Knowledge of U.S. state CLE rules and requirements.
Experience with Micron CE Manager or other similar platform required.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, teamwork and
communication skills.
Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Superb interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in a
professional manner with attorneys, staff members, and clients at
all levels.
Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
