The Role
We are seeking a Legal Director to
join our market leading disputes team in Riyadh to work on a range
of complex matters for clients across diverse industries, both
within the region, and cross-border.
Your practice will range from
general litigation, corporate and regulatory compliance, regulatory
investigations to arbitration, white collar crime and occupational
health and safety.
The nature and size of the team
will mean that you are heavily involved in all aspects of matters
allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome.
This role will allow you to continue to develop your professional
and personal brand.
About You
You will have an excellent
background in high value, complex commercial litigation and
arbitration, with superb regulatory compliance and investigation
experience gained from another highly respected private practice or
a mixture of private practice and in-house from within the GCC
region, or from overseas. Further, a Saudi national holding a
license to practice in KSA, with the following core competencies:

clients or in teams with larger clients manage/contribute to
certain aspects of the relationship. Identifies and develops new
areas for growth demonstrating relationship management and
organisational skills.
Contributes to the firm's key
account development programme.
Works with finance to monitor
group finances and drive cash collection.
Monitors and ensures full time
recording across the group.
Technical Expert: delivering
technical expertise in a niche area of strategic importance to the Firm
Internally and externally
recognised as a specialist and is a 'go to' person in their
field; adds technical excellence
and innovative solutions to partners' matters.
Conducts a range of legal
discussions unsupervised ensuring the best outcome for the firm
and their client.
Demonstrates strategic business
knowledge of clients in their sector or area of expertise.
Analyses large or complex
information and identifies solutions.
Conducts highly complex research
in own area of law, publishing articles/research papers and adds
to the know-how resources for the Group and Firm; contributes to
training initiatives.
Champions the use of internal
and external research resources
Anticipates potential
issues/areas of concern and recommends appropriate solutions
Drafts precedents, technical
advise and opinion papers on the most complex legal issues
Develops the Firm's offerings in
their area of law; builds market awareness and reputation which
leads to a pipeline of work and new business opportunities
Description of the work group
Our Middle East regional office has developed a "market-leading
reputation" for dispute resolution. We handle disputes in the
Middle East, Gulf States, Indian subcontinent and beyond and are
"first choice" for multi-jurisdictional matters. Our
regional commercial arbitration practice is equally strong.
We pride ourselves on resolving disputes where possible without
recourse to court or arbitration and continue to look for
opportunities to settle even when proceedings have been commenced.
When litigation or arbitration is necessary, we can conduct
proceedings both locally and internationally drawing in the expertise
of Clyde & Co's global network of offices.
