The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a talented Apprentice
Legal Secretary to join our Residential Development team in Guildford.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain some hands-on legal
administration experience alongside a supportive team of legal
secretaries and fee earners up to Partner level.
We will provide full training and support for this position,
including allocating a dedicated supervisor and mentor to the
successful candidates.
The successful candidate will study towards the Level 3 Business
Administrator apprenticeship standard. Applicants must not have a
qualification in a similar subject at the same level or above.
The role will develop with training and experience, but we expect the
successful candidate to be involved with assisting fee earners in some
of the below aspects:
Typing and drafting correspondence
Amending documents
Booking meetings (occasional)
Assisting with and drafting bills
Arranging and booking travel and accommodation (occasional)
Opening, maintaining and closing files
Archiving files and dealing with Deeds Storage/preparing deeds packets
Updating and maintaining databases
Scanning and preparing documentation
Audio typing & collating of tapes
Filing
Scanning/photocopying
Printing
Organise couriers when needed
Cover reception lunch if needed
Taxi bookings (if reception unavailable)
Diary Management (occasional)
Hand deliveries when necessary
Working on Land Registry Portal applying for Office Copies,
Documents and carrying out Index Map Searches.
Carrying out Property Searches
Preparing Report Documentation
Setting up data rooms and uploading documentation to them
To be aware of and comply with the company's policies and procedures
Key Skills & Experience
Our successful candidate will need to have at least five GCSE's
graded A* - C/9 - 4 or equivalent. He/she will demonstrate the
following attributes:
strong communication skills both written and verbal
the ability to work as part of a team
ability and willingness to learn
attention to detail
strong organisational skills
good IT skills
discretion and professionalism
to be aware of and comply with the company's policies and procedures
