Property Lawyer: 2-4 PQE

We are looking for a solicitor to join our Property Group. The work of the group encompasses a wide spectrum including commercial property work for developers, investors and end users. It covers offices, shops and residential development. While the focus of the Group is on commercial clients, we also act in conjunction with our Private Client Team and also for clients of the firm on the acquisition of homes mainly in the high end market.

The successful candidate will have 2 years PQE. They will have excellent academic qualifications and have received good quality training and experience to date. The successful candidate must have a desire to take individual responsibility and handle matters on their own from an early stage across quite a broad range. They will need to be confident, sociable and self-motivated with common sense.

Specifically the candidate must be able and willing to:

• demonstrate an understanding of leasehold and freehold property practice
• take responsibility for matters and see them through quickly and effectively to exchange and completion
• think and act independently and pro-actively but know when to seek advice and help from partners and senior members of the Group which is always available on an open door basis
• when required, work as part of a team on corporate support and other inter-group/disciplinary matters and projects
• welcome direct exposure to clients
• work well under pressure and progress matters independently
• keep other lawyers, estate agents and clients up to date with the progress of matters
• take an active role and interest in marketing and business development
