You will be a collaborative forward
thinking Finance Business Manager. In this role, you will report to
Partner, Finance Director and be aligned with Innovation or one of
the following practice areas: Corporate & Real Estate, Dispute
Resolution, or Private to identify and help drive improvements in
financial performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide financial reporting, detailed analysis and insight to
assist in commercial decision making.
Assist in the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting exercises.
Provide high quality, reliable, and timely analysis.
Assist in the maintenance of data in key internal systems and
ensure data is reviewed and reconciled as required.
Ensure key data in budgeting and practice management systems are
maintained accurately.
Undertake profitability analysis at client, matter, work-type,
Partner and fee-earner level.
Ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks will be required in addition
to BAU responsibilities.
Improve overall understanding of financial KPI's and performance
across the business.
Assist with the preparation of other key reports on financials and
performance, highlighting required business interventions.
Skills/Experience
A qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) with 3 + years PQE.
3 + years of experience gained as a Finance Business Manager where
you have been embedded in 'the business'.
Personable and confident, able to build relationships with key /
senior stakeholders
Development of KPI's specifically in regard to revenue, pricing.
Highly analytical with strong forecasting and budgeting skills.
Ability to work with large volume of data, from different sources.
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
Advanced IT skills e.g., writing macros in Excel, SQL experience
highly desirable.
Knowledge or willingness to learn to use new tools (e.g.,
Microsoft Power BI).
Attributes

working relationships.
Organised, analytical, pragmatic, methodical, inquisitive and
curious, highly articulate and numerate
Flexible and adoptable - comfortable with ambiguity as the
business grows and evolves.
