both employers and senior executives.
Acting at the forefront of employment law, we are regularly
instructed on cases that raise the most important legal questions of
the day, from diversity and gender pay, to employment status and the
implications of the "gig" economy, to the interplay between
data, transparency and privacy. The team is renowned for its strategic
approach and litigation expertise, regularly appearing in the
Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. The
team also has a strong depth of experience supporting emerging and
fast growth organisations on global talent related issues.

non-contentious employment law and we work seamlessly across our
dedicated incentives, and innovate teams.
This opportunity is to join our fast growing innovate employment
group which is focused on supporting start up and scale-up
organisations - within innovation sectors, including technology and
healthcare - with talent and employment law issues across the UK and
globally. Working closely with our Mishcon Futures department, the
group is focused on delivering valuable solutions to the emerging and
scaling business market to pragmatically tackle global talent issues.
The group operates across the innovation hubs of Cambridge, London and Oxford.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing for and attending client meetings when requested, take
comprehensive minutes and follow up on action points when required.
Preparation of legal documents as required. Proofreading and
updating documents, using initiative to flag queries.
Typing and amending attendance notes, letters, faxes presentations
and other documents as required, using Microsoft Office and the
Document Management System (DMS).
To transcribe audio dictation and copy type letters, memos and
reports and to prepare signed correspondence for dispatch.
Liaising with other departments where required.
Regularly, frequently and accurately maintain and update
correspondence and other filing, particularly original documents in
accordance with the team's practices.
Attending court hearings, mediation meetings and telephone
conferences with internal team, clients, opponents, experts, court
and other parties.
Checking for monies on account to see whether bills have been paid.
Liaising with clients in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
To work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Photocopying, faxing, archiving and filing.
Maintaining confidentiality in respect of those matters which are
commercially sensitive or secret and only share them with colleagues
and others on a need to know basis who are themselves bound by an
obligation of confidentiality.
Providing support as required by the fee-earners and working with
other secretaries/paralegals in the Department.
Skills/Experience
A strong academic record, LPC qualified preferable.
Working knowledge of litigation process
highly desirable.
Previous relevant experience desirable with previous professional
services experience essential.
Ability to engage and understand the applicable law and to
proactively progress matters under fee-earner's supervision.
Experience carrying out document review (in particular using
Relativity) and disclosure is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to effectively manage own workload.
Ability to communicate effectively with
people at all levels.
Personable, confident and able to build
relationships with partners/ key stakeholders.
Resilient and calm under pressure.

Proficiency in MS Packages including Microsoft Word, Excel,
