Our Finance team continues to go from strength to strength and
we are involved in exciting and innovative initiatives across the
firm. Rather than being considered a necessary support function, our
Finance department is an integral part of the strategy of the firm,
and this is reflected both by the level of investment and how new
initiatives are discussed at the most senior level.
Duties and Responsibilities
To provide a high-quality credit management provision meeting the
needs of both external and internal clients.
Managing a high-volume shared inbox including both internal and
external emails, delegating to appropriate team members and
determining appropriate subfolders.
Recording bills as sent, requiring high levels of attention to
detail so that wider team can chase debt.
Deciphering complex instructions with regards use of client funds
against bills so that monies can be accurately transferred.
Supporting Credit Control Cashiers with receipting client payments
for bills during peak times or periods of absence. Adhering to SRA
regulations throughout.
Answering incoming client calls throughout the day, including
processing card payments and answering ad hoc queries.
Establishing a methodology to process small balance write offs
across the ledger on a weekly basis.
Applying for Tax Certificates via HMRC for clients based outside
of the UK when required.
Completing client supplier forms within time limits and returning
to client or legal team accordingly.
Additional administrative tasks as required by Management.
Skills/Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience gained in an administrative role
supporting a team in a similar professional services environment.
Strong numerical skills including the ability to use MS Excel in a
basic capacity.
Tenacious and articulate both in writing and verbally. Ability to
break down complex information in writing. Comfortable communicating
with senior stakeholders via phone.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work and
to work to deadlines.
Ability to effectively manage own workload.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Resilient and calm under pressure.
