The Business Development function has played a critical in the growth
of Mishcon and has been crucial in developing a category leading
brand. BD's headcount consists of c.50 people who deliver across a
range of key service areas, including Intermediary Development, Client
Acquisition and Development, Insights, Events, Comms and PR, and
Digital Marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities
This role will work closely with the Partner and Chief Brand Officer,
and wider BD team, to provide personal assistant and project support,
as well as wider support to the BD department.
Co-ordination of small & large internal/external meetings,
agendas and ensuring all requirements are met to the highest quality.
Co-ordination of personal and company domestic & overseas
travel, accommodation, transfers, room bookings, catering, etc.)
& following through on action points requested.
Co-ordination of large internal events, such as BD quarterly
meetings, heads away day, BD private dinners & BD social events.
Regular co-ordination and management of BD board reports.
Regular co-ordination and management of BD directory reports &
accounts, keeping the BD team on track in time sensitive matters.
Thorough management of the Partner and Chief Brand Officer's time firmwide.
Provide the team & Partner and Chief Brand Officer's clients
with the highest quality of service.
Management of the Partner and Chief Brand Officer's Ops board
agenda & his involvement.
Have a good understanding of each BD team, how they work and what
support to offer when needed.
Effectively manage small BD projects and BD plans from beginning
to end, taking the lead when/where necessary.
Assist in the execution and organisation of cross firm workshops,
training, meetings, and initiatives.
Work with Communications and Tech resources within the firm as
well as external marketing suppliers and clients.
Understanding and producing emails, presentations, regular
reports, etc.
Taking responsibility and lead on BD tasks, offering support where needed.
Management of cross firm marketing materials/collateral.
Providing support across the BD team, especially in the absence of
BD colleagues.
Have good communication with all BD heads on a weekly basis.
Skills/Experience
Work collaboratively with all members of the BD team. Bring a
"can do" and positive attitude to the role.
Management & prioritisation of own time - being able to switch
workloads between the Partner and Chief Brand Officer, and the wider
BD team daily, working collaboratively and sharing knowledge.
