The role

We are looking for a Business Development Coordinator/Executive to join us in Sydney. As part of our national Clients & Markets team, you will report to a Senior Business Development Manager and work across the Energy Infrastructure and Projects sectors.

Broadly, your role will involve:

BDM Support

  • Support the Senior Business Development Manager in executing the Business Development Plans for the allocated Practice & Sector Teams and individual Partners
  • Support the Senior Business Development Manager in the management of workflow, completion of work and the co-ordination of projects for allocated teams and clients. This might include research, bid and tender activity, directory submissions, production of capability and credentials documentation, publications, web copy, aspects of event and webinar management, campaign execution and reporting.
  • Support the Senior Business Development Manager in the measurement and evaluation of allocated client plans

Clients:

  • Using the NRF client relationship management methodology and tools, participate in the development and execution of account management plans for allocated clients
  • Work in collaboration with other parts of business services in sourcing relevant information regarding clients when planning account/client management or targeting initiatives and activities
  • Prepare reports on client relationship management activity, as required

Events, webinars and sponsorships

  • Work with the events and webinar team to deliver Practice Team events and webinars, ensuring that budgets are allocated and approved, invitation lists are created applying appropriate list generation criteria, and all internal communications are produced in a timely manner.
  • Co-ordinate support for Practice Team sponsorships, including the provision of branded material
  • Ensure that market and client information gleaned during events and webinars is captured in our CRM system (InterAction)

External profiling and publications

  • Work with the communications team and relevant Partners to profile the Practice Team and their expertise through media and digital channels through drafting and facilitating creation of content
  • Work with fee earners on the production of publications, managing all sign-off processes and liaising with our in-house graphic designers
  • Manage production of directory submissions, including sourcing and editing credentials, bios and practice team descriptions, as well as managing all review and sign-off processes.

Budget

  • Under the guidance of the Senior Business Development Manage, work with Practice / Industry Leader(s) and key partners in your Team to ensure that initiatives are executed within budgetary parameters

You will need to be an energetic, driven and focussed individual, with a strong understanding of Marketing and Business Development in a B2B services environment (preferably, a medium to large sized national or international Professional Services Firm). You will be able to deal with a variety of different personalities and confidently address issues, all the while demonstrating your commitment to client service excellence. Attention to detail and the ability to switch from micro to big picture detail will be important in this role.
