Description
Norton Rose Fulbright is a global legal
practice. We provide the world's pre-eminent corporations and
financial institutions and some of Australia's largest Government
agencies with a full business law service. We have more than 4000
lawyers based in over 58 offices across Europe, the United States,
Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and
Central Asia.
In this role you will support Norton Rose
Fulbright Australia's (NRFA's) non-legal social impact,
reconciliation and sustainability programs in Australia. This will
include engaging with the firm's Reconciliation Action Plan and the
Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, the Environmental
Sustainability Working Group, local charity committees as well as
sourcing volunteering opportunities for our staff. The role will
report to the Chair of our ESG Group, who is also our National Pro
Bono Team Leader, with a dotted line through to our Deputy Chief
Executive Partner.

Responsibilities:
Social Impact
Engage and build meaningful relationships
with community partners and charitable organisations
Identify and share volunteering
opportunities with NRFA staff nationally
Work closely with and provide administrative
support to state charity committees
Respond to ad hoc donation requests
Reconciliation
Key support in the delivery of NRFA's
Reconciliation Action Plan, including a refresh of the plan in 2025
Ongoing support for NRFA's Reconciliation
Action Plan Working Group, chairing meetings and providing
administrative support
Organising and administering ongoing
reconciliation activities
Supporting and implementing NRFA's
Sustainability strategy, with a focus on climate impact and carbon reduction
Liaising with multiple stakeholders
including HR, Finance and facilities to deliver periodic reporting
and metrics on NRF's sustainability strategy
Management of third party consultancies who
support the climate program
Represent NRFA as a member of the NRF global
Sustainability Working Group
Activities relevant to each area
Responding to tenders/pitches/client
requests for information with regards to NRFA's policies and track record
Providing internal training to all levels of staff
Managing the day to day budget in support of
each area
Cross-functional stakeholder management
where appropriate: Executive Management Team, Pro Bono Team Leader
and team, ESG Group Chair and Group, State Charity Committee
partners, RAP Chair and Partner Champions, Climate Action Working
Group, Global Corporate Responsibility Working Group, Global
Environment Sustainability Working Group, Risk Committee, Client
Services Team
Requirements:
An outstanding communicator, you will be
comfortable coordinating multiple programs and initiatives
simultaneously. You should also be able to demonstrate:
A commercial mindset, with experience
managing and implementing strategy.
Experience in professional services environment.
Client relationship management experience.
The ability to draft corporate communications.
The ability to build strong networks within
community organisations and charities.
The ability to engage with cross functional teams.
A proactive approach to work and issues
management and problem solving.
An ability to work under pressure and to
tight time constraints.
Proficiency in project and event management.
