We have an exciting opportunity for a high performing Associate to join our Sydney Projects & Construction team working with Alex Whiteside and Daniel Vicano. Our Projects practice is one of the most highly regarded practices in the market and this is a unique opportunity to join a team that presents exciting potential for career advancement and significant development opportunities. This role would have a primary focus on back end construction matters but the opportunity to work on front end matters also.

The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows;

Responsibilities

  • Assist contractors, principals and government clients on a range of back end matters
  • Prepare court documents, including documents for evidence, discovery, and expert and barrister briefs
  • Liaise with clients and assist in negotiations
  • Provide mentoring and supervision to Graduates, Paralegals and Clerks
  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years PQE gained within a construction or projects practice
  • Demonstrated experience managing a range of back end construction matters
  • Strong client liaison skills
  • Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills
  • Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously
