We currently have a fantastic opportunity in our Brisbane Commercial Litigation team for an Senior Associate/Special Counsel. Working with a close-knit and inclusive team, you will work in a broad variety of commercial litigation matters covering disputes in the infrastructure & mining, consumer markets, regulatory, real estate, transport and government sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Draft advices, pleadings and prepare matters for hearing
  • Attend witness conferences and prepare affidavits and witness statements
  • Brief senior and junior Counsel
  • Appear in directions hearings and conferences
  • Prepare for and attend court and mediations
  • Mentor graduates, summer clerks and junior lawyers
  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • At least 7+ years PQE in a reputable commercial litigation team with experience across a broad range of commercial litigation matters
  • Commercial approach and experience dealing with complex transactions
  • Exceptional client liaison skills
  • Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills
