The role:

We are curently looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to join us on an on a 6-8 month contract, based in Sydney CBD. As a Data and Reporting Analyst, you will be a member of the Finance Systems Team delivering on the following areas:

  • Monthly client reporting and ad-hoc reports;
  • Pioneering solutions to automate processes using SharePoint, Power Automate, SQL or other automation tools.

In addition, on a day to day basis, you will be:

  • Conducting requirement gathering meetings, brainstorm sessions and walk through sessions with stakeholders to deliver continuous business process improvements and efficiencies;
  • Continually improve data quality, and collation of data to ensure accurate output for reporting;
  • Continually improve and optimise on the data model that feeds into the reporting solutions to meet the flexibility, usability, and performance requirements;
  • Develop ad hoc SQL and Excel reporting requests and data extraction; and
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all reporting content is accurate and captured in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • SQL and Excel skills.
  • Highly developed attention to detail, analytical and conceptual skills, strong financial acumen, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Organisational skills - demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interpret financial and non-financial data to effectively add value to client analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
