We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our national finance team, based in Sydney on a 12 month, fixed term contract. You will be responsible for ensuring a professional finance service is offered to internal and external clients ensuring that the firm's reputation as a debtor is protected.


  • Full-function Accounts Payable - including daily processing of invoices, invoice coding, vendor maintenance, payment runs and reconciliation of supplier statements;
  • Accurate coding of invoices to ensure integrity with management reporting;
  • Ensure weekly and monthly payment runs are in accordance with both supplier payment terms and Law Society regulations (for matter related suppliers);
  • Processing of staff expenses and firm credit cards including travel card allocations ensuring authorisations are in line with the firms policies;
  • Provide assistance and liaise with internal, external, local and international suppliers to address accounts payable queries;
  • Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to throughout NRFA for the overall Accounts Payable function; and
  • Ensure excellent customer service delivery, execution of effective processes and ongoing skills development.


  • Excellent knowledge of full function accounts payable practices and procedures;
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur management system essential (particularly Expense and Invoice modules)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interpret financial and non-financial data effectively;
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines; and
  • Proactive approach to management of workflow and processes.
