Our corporate & banking team in Ottawa is highly regarded for its
significant experience in a broad range of regional, national and
international corporate and financial transactions and matters across
the full spectrum of industries. We are well positioned to provide
strategic, business-oriented legal advice on complex domestic,
cross-border and multijurisdictional transactions, including mergers
and acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations, financing and
lending transactions, project financing and P3, debt and equity
capital markets matters, joint ventures, and governance, general
commercial and corporate advisory matters.
We are currently seeking to add to the existing strength of our team
by bringing in an associate with experience in mergers and
acquisitions (private and/or public), securities, lending, projects
and/or general corporate/commercial transactions. This presents an
incredible opportunity to join a world-class group of professionals at
an established Canadian law firm with an international legal practice,
while working in a collegial and collaborative team that is both
professionally and personally rewarding.
The ideal candidate will possess an LL.B or JD degree and will also have:
2+ years of related experience in
either a private practice or in-house setting;
exceptional client service,
interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational
abilities, attention to detail, and a confidence to take initiative;
demonstrated business acumen and a
strong commercial understanding; and
strong personal and professional
integrity and a hard-working and passionate approach.
While not required, bilingualism is viewed as an asset.
