Job Description
The team
Real estate is one of the principal strengths of Norton Rose
Fulbright - founded on our reputation for effective, no-nonsense
handling of high profile and complex transactions.
We are one of a small number of international firms who genuinely
have the experience, skills and support necessary to deliver a high
level of service across the board. Internationally, our real estate
practice spans across Europe, the Middle East, Australia and the Far
East. Throughout our network, our real estate specialists work closely
with banking, restructuring, corporate, securitization, construction,
environment and tax lawyers with a genuine understanding of the real
estate market, both nationally and internationally. Our collective
understanding allows us to bring to each transaction the best of the
techniques in use in other jurisdictions, to the benefit of all our clients.
Our well-known regional team acts for a mixture of developers,
investors, governments and financial institutions, hotel owners and
operators, and serves clients of the wider Norton Rose Fulbright
Group. The
team also provides support to other practice areas on real estate
financing, corporate acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, and
project financing; experience of such transactions is therefore
beneficial. The
team is currently working on transactions throughout the MENA region
and is also expanding to cover more matters dealing with
sustainability and ESG matters as these increase in importance for companies.
Skills and experience required
We are seeking to recruit a Real Estate Associate for our Dubai
office. The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
1 to 4 years PQE
Will have an excellent academic background and strong real estate
experience from a top-tier law firm.
An experience of hospitality sector work and regionally used
structures such as strata titling, master communities, musataha and
usufruct arrangements would be beneficial but is not essential.
Demonstrate intellectual rigor - the ability to analyse, think
laterally and proffer solutions quickly and proactively
Possess strong drafting skills
Demonstrate an aptitude for dealing with
complex and intricate transactions involving multiple jurisdictions
and that require a more creative approach and being
Communicate effectively on both a practical
and intellectual level and be an active listener
Have an interest in, and an aptitude for,
developing the firm's business, and a willingness to assist in the
development of client relationships through meetings, presentations,
producing know-how and other business development initiatives
Arabic language skills would be useful, but are not essential
