A fantastic career development opportunity has arisen for an
Associate to join Norton Rose Fulbright's leading Banking and Finance
group in Sydney. Working as part of a collaborative and supportive
team, you'll gain exposure to a diverse mix of high quality banking
and finance matters.
Norton Rose Fulbright's Sydney Banking and Finance group includes
some of Australia's leading banking and finance lawyers. The team
works on a variety of transactions ranging from property finance,
acquisition finance, structured finance and project finance, to debt
capital markets, securitisation, derivatives, asset and equipment
financing, general corporate banking and financial restructuring.
Clients include the major Australian, Asian, European and US banks and
finance houses, ASX Top 100 corporates, investment banks, fund
managers and professional trustees. The broader team works across a
range of sectors including energy, infrastructure and natural
resources, transport, technology and consumer markets. As part of the
global Norton Rose Fulbright network, many of the transactions have
cross-border elements, involving a high level of collaboration with
Norton Rose Fulbright colleagues in North America, the UK, Europe and Asia.
Some recent examples of matters that the group has worked on include:
Advising one of Australia's largest banks global on its transition
from LIBOR.
Advising one of Australia's largest property development and asset
management businesses on a $1bn acquisition facility
Advising a syndicate of Australian lenders in relation to
corporate financing facilities provided to a marketing leading
online travel business, including advising through the various
disruptions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Advising a syndicate of US and international banks and lenders on
Term Loan B and asset based lending facilities in connection with
the acquisition of Sensis.
This is a terrific opportunity for an Associate seeking personal and

The key requirements for this role are as follows:
Demonstrated experience working on banking and finance
transactions gained at a reputable national or international law
firm, or in-house at a leading corporate or financial institution
The ability to work independently and also as a part of a team
with multiple partners and senior practitioners within the group
Strong academic results
2+ years post qualification experience
A keen willingness to learn and grow
