We're currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our growing Investment Funds team, based in Sydney. Working closely with Liz Hastilow, t he team's experience spans the full spectrum of legal advice to investment managers across all asset classes.

The succeful candidate will have experience in fund formation, structuring, fund offering and promotion, investment management activities, outsourcing, fund M&A and restructuring and fund governance. Experience with infrastructure, property and other real asset and illiquid funds is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Work across a range of funds formation and transactional work, including cross border fund offerings and investments
  • Transaction support on deals focussing on real assets sectors including PE, energy/renewables, debt, real estate and infrastructure
  • Provide high quality advice to a broad range of blue-chip global and domestic asset management clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentoring junior lawyers in the team
  • Assisting with business development and the strategic development of the practice

Requirements

  • 6+ years PQE with experience within investment funds at a leading firm and/or in-house
  • Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • An interest in working in cross-border matters
  • Practice growth and teamwork mindset
