Our summer and winter vacation schemes offer an invaluable insight into life and work inside a leading, global law firm.

Our vacation schemes are open to penultimate-year undergraduates and finalists from any degree discipline. Securing a place on either scheme is subject to a successful application and assessment day.

On whichever scheme you join, you will have the opportunity to get under the skin of our business and get a genuine feel for what it is like to work here. You will get to participate in actual work with clients - which could involve anything from legal research to attending meetings or court. You can attend training sessions on presentation skills and lunchtime talks about our practice areas.

We are currently recruiting for vacation scheme in winter 2023.

Please ensure you include your resume, cover letter indicating the year you intend to commence a training contract in Hong Kong, and your final and/or latest transcripts in your application.

Placement

Our vacation placement scheme is one of the good ways for you to get to know us and decide if we are the best practice for you to develop your career in. We would like to invite students who wish to become part of our team after graduation to join our vacation placement scheme.


A placement will give you first hand experience of our work and working style. It is aimed at those who are studying or have studied law, and runs for four weeks in the summer.


Our placement programme runs for four weeks in the summer and winter and it is highly structured and designed to give you a feel for what life as a trainee is like with us. Each placement participant sits with either a partner or an associate to experience life as a city solicitor. Whether you're attending client meetings, going to court or doing office-based legal work, you'll be able to make a practical and valuable contribution to your team. Talks, exercises and projects are designed to give you full exposure to the practice and the various types of work we do.


We look for applications from candidates with law degree, who demonstrate a consistently strong academic record. You are expected to have or be expecting at least an upper second class degree or equivalent. We look for people who are team players, with excellent interpersonal skills.
