We have more than 3800 lawyers based in over 50 cities across Europe, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.
The role
We currently have an opportunity for a Compliance Officer to support our Compliance team in Australia. One of the primary responsibilities of the Compliance Team is to perform business acceptance checks for client and matter acceptance. We review potential new engagements for potential conflicts of interest and risks associated with professional duties, client and matter risks, sanctions exposure and compliance with other regulatory obligations, as well as compliance with firm policies. Some engagements are accepted subject to strict conditions, in respect of which the Compliance Team remains involved, for example, where information barriers are to be maintained.
Our Compliance team is comprised of experienced compliance professionals, who ultimately report to the Global Head of Compliance. The role reports to our Australian Compliance lead and ultimately to our Global Head of Compliance.
