Description

We have a new opportunity for a Business Process Improvement Analyst to join our growing Change Function team. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving customer journey improvements that support customer experience.

This is a 12 month Fixed Terms Contract based out of our Bristol Office.

The Change Function at Osborne Clarke

The Change Function at Osborne Clarke exists to drive strategic change across the firm, ensuring our Change programmes are aligned to our Strategic Goals. It consists of four teams who work together to deliver and embed effective change to drive realisable benefits for the Firm:

  • Portfolio Management Officegoverns the Portfolio prioritisation, resource allocation, financial management and reporting.
  • Business Analysis and Continuous Improvement Teamsupports the production of Business Cases or Continuous Improvement initiatives, with clearly defined benefits. They provide fact-based challenge of proposals to ensure the development of the correct solution aligns with business need and the strategy of the firm.
  • Programme and Project management Teamis responsible for effective delivery of defined solutions to time, cost and quality. They ensure the effective governance, tracking of benefits and reporting throughout the delivery lifecycle to completion before closure of the project and handover into business as usual.
  • The Change Management Teamwork throughout the life of a project to ensure the effective engagement of stakeholders, evaluation of the readiness of change recipients and the successful embedding of change initiatives across the firm to drive benefits realisation.

What you'll do

You will scope, plan, and execute various improvement projects and initiatives across all areas of the business. You will be required to closely engage with key stakeholders, adhere to relevant governance, and track associated project benefits.

Responsible for delivering the following activities for smaller, operational projects:

  • Produce artifacts including process mapping to support business buy-in on process improvement projects.
  • Conduct thorough analyses, streamlining of business service processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and facilitate process design changes, focusing on quality improvement and data management
  • Organise and coordinate workshops with relevant stakeholders
  • Propose and implement small-scale tactical changes to streamline processes and improve overall productivity and effectiveness.
  • In conjunction with the Project Managers monitor the impact of changes and calculate business benefit where possible.
  • Utilise data and metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Change Function and business service teams to understand their needs and challenges and support the implementation of best practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders at all levels to gather insights and feedback on existing processes and workflows.
  • Gather and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Eliciting requirements using interviews, workshops, use cases, scenarios and other techniques. Prioritise requirements based on business value.

What we're looking for

  • Have experience in, and comfortable in using process improvement tools and approaches
  • Experience in mapping administrative processes and workflows would be desirable
  • A track record in solving complex problems and driving quality outputs to land continuous improvement/ business analysis changes
  • Capable in solving problems and driven to execute
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, ability to adapt style to range of activities and audiences
  • Demonstrated effective team player and be able to nurture effective relationships
  • A full and complete understanding of the project life cycle and the associated BA tools and skillsets (from requirements gathering, through to solution development, through to embedding of associated benefits).
  • A laser focus and track record for personally delivering tangible business outcomes, including providing innovative and strategic solutions to complex business problems / opportunities.
