Description
Our Bristol Business Support Team is seeking a Legal Secretary to
provide secretarial support. The successful candidate will use their
own initiative; have first class organisational skills and fast
accurate secretarial skills. Flexibility, diversity and being
proactive are key attributes. This role will be working as part of
team working across the UK offices.
This is a part time, permanent position, working Wednesday to Friday
of each week, based out of our Bristol office and due to the nature of
the role will be based on site.

Key Responsibilities
Provide effective high level administrative support to the legal
teams and business services
Knowledgeable of working practices within each Practice Group
Provide centrally based cover for our legal teams
Audio/copy typing
Amend and format legal documentation and initiate/compose direct correspondence
Understand and apply house style effectively to an expert level of proficiency
Provide Billing and credit control procedures for lawyers and clients
Support the production of Business Development and marketing documents
Deal with enquiries from colleagues and provide effective transfer
of information
Involvement in ad-hoc projects as given by the Business Support Manager
Work to continuously develop effective ways of working within the
team and to identify ways of improving working practices
Key skills
We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary or previous
experience in a similar role. You'll be able to demonstrate excellent
written and verbal communication skills and be able to build an
internal network across OC offices, departments and teams. Other key
skills include:
Ability to work under pressure with little supervision
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Experience of being able to work with a workflow management tool
Self motivated and proactive
Calm and collected manner to instil confidence in clients and colleagues
Essential to be organised and be able to prioritise work
Good time and performance management
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Workshare,
Powerpoint, Interaction etc)
